TGirl.at is a support service for Dani's T-Room.com and carefully selected friends. It enables us to take long web addresses and make them in short form whilst still making it clear that the content is about transgender people, views or lifestyles.
TGirl.at will take an ordinary web address and make it short. For example:
http://www.danistroom.com/inspirations/beauty-and-health/beauty-therapies/ipl-hair-removal.htm
has been reduced to:
Looks far better placed to fit in a tweet to me. Long web addresses may be descriptive but are difficult to use on Twitter and other services and may break into many lines if emailed, causing them to stop working. By reducing the link to a very short link that redirects the user to the orginial address immediately, TGirl.at helps transgender people communicate more easily. There's no advertising or other tricks; it's simply an alternative to other "general purpose" link shorteners like bit.ly, ow.ly, tinyurl and is.gd that's specifically all about the transgender world.
If you feel using TGirl.at would be appropraite to you, we are open to hearing from you. We offer a bookmarklet that automatically translates links into TGirl.at links, a WordPress plug in that will automatically tweet your blog posts using TGirl.at. For those more technically inclined we offer an API that allows you to use TGirl.at in more creative ways.
If you would like to use TGirl.at, then please contact Dani's T-Room to request access, giving details of how you intend to use it and what your involvement with the transexual community is.
